Some TV’s default to surround output, which won’t work with a stereo system. In TV settings, change to PCM or STEREO.

Ensure volume on your phone or other device is turned up to appropriate level.

Ensure you are using the supplied self adhesive rubber feet under the speaker.

If a low level of background hiss is audible, this may be influenced by the connected source equipment, cabling, gain settings or the surrounding electrical environment. It is therefore worth checking all source components, connections and volume settings as part of the system setup. Active loudspeakers also generate an extremely low level of inherent background noise as a normal characteristic of their design, with the amplifiers connected directly to the drive units. This can be noticeable with highly sensitive drivers such as the IsoFlare compression driver when listening very close to the speaker in a quiet environment while the system is powered on and no audio signal is present. This effect has no impact on music playback, dialogue reproduction or overall sound quality.

Ensure turntable ground connection (where provided) is connected to ground post on the speaker.

Reduce volume setting- either the amplifiers or drive units are being overloaded.

Most likely defective cable- try using another.

Try replacing the cable.

Ensure in line of sight of primary speaker. Try new batteries in remote or check if they have been inserted with wrong polarity.

All speakers produce more bass close to a room boundary (wall) and less in free space. Try repositioning speakers or use tone controls / equaliser on the source, if provided.

Ensure power cable correctly inserted into speaker. Try another power outlet in case of defect. Check fuse in mains plug (where fitted).

Ensure connecting cable fully inserted and locked.

Being a true point source, our IsoFlare driver is less sensitive to positioning than conventional speakers, but for best results toe the speaker in towards the listener a bit.
